The clamp holder has two small hooks with which it can be stably hooked into the hole grid of the "plate for complete experiments" (45510-00) and thus securely fasten the devices attached to it to the plate. Opposite these two hooks of the holder, there are two more extensions with eyes at the lower end of the holders. After the holders have been hooked into the plate, they engage through the holes in the grid of the plate in such a way that a cotter pin (45530-00) can be inserted into each of these eyelets. This fixes the holder to the plate in such a way that it cannot be lifted off until these spring clips have been removed. In addition, there are two small magnets above the extensions with the eyelets, which ensure that the holder cannot "rattle" after it has been hooked onto the plate. (These magnets do not have a holding or securing function).
The clamp holder, d = 18...25 mm serves as a universal holder for a wide variety of devices with a GL18 or GL25 connection. As a rule, this holder is not suitable for devices with a standard ground joint, as such devices can slip out of the spring clamps. With this holder, the spring clamp is mounted so that it can rotate. The advantage of the rotatable clamp is that the units can be mounted here on the plate at any angle to each other.
