Simulation of COVID-19 antibody test, via the ELISA test method.
This kit tests, via the ELISA method, whether 2 subjects have produced SARS-CoV-2 antibodies against the coronavirus. Only simulated blood samples are used.
Learning objectives:
Learn about antibody-based detection techniques and the ELISA method.
Learn about the testing methods used for COVID-19.
Only simulated blood samples will be used in the study
Materials for: 10 groups
Trial time: approximately 60 minutes
Kit contains:
10X ELISA buffer, ELISA dilution buffer, antigen (freeze-dried), primary and secondary antibodies (freeze-dried), ABTS substrate (freeze-dried), ABTS reaction buffer, microtiter plates, microcentrifuge tubes and disposable pipettes.
What else you need:
Distilled water or demineralised water, beaker, pipette pump/balloon, laboratory glassware, disposable gloves and safety glasses.
Recommended: automatic micropipettes (0-50 µl, 100-1000 µl) and tips.
Download the English-language guide under documents.
The guide describes the entire experimental procedure in detail, supplemented by theoretical background material.
Always remember to check the latest updated instructions on Edvotek's website, via the link provided with the kit. This is also where the interpretation of results and answers to the questions from this experiment are downloaded.
