The Star Globe Pearl Illuminated displays the major stars and constellations, and also the stars within those constellations. Constellations are labelled with their astrological names. The globe is supported by a pearl coloured plastic half meridian, which is in turn mounted on a matching dome shaped base. When lit, a sub surface layer seems to spring to life, to give a subtle and colourful artistic reperesentations of the constellations associated images.
