To demonstrate how electric field linesrun between electrodes of different shapes, without wetting the electrodes. Thediverse electrode configurations arefixed in the form of rub proof thin conducting layers on Plexiglas plates. Therepresentation of the field lines isobtained by means of grains of semolinain a light path cell laid onto the corresponding Plexiglas plate and previously filled 1 to 2 mm deep with castoroil. Light path cell with ring electrodein the exterior edge, with 4 mm connecting socket; easy cleaning, because neither the electrodes nor the Plexiglasplates come into contact with the castoroil. Suitable voltage source: high voltage power supply 0?25 kV, 13671.93. Dimensions 180 mm×180 mm; light path celld = 120 mm.
