The difference between NS and SP taps
NS-taps are usually made of glass, but sometimes also of PTFE (Teflon). With a half turn of the tap the liquid will start to flow and after a half turn back, it stops immediately. So the tap is either on or off.
SP-taps have a needle that moves further out as you turn. The more you turn, the more the liquid will flow through. So you can gradually regulate the speed.
NS taps can also be replaced, whereas this is not possible with SP taps.
