Function and use
The compact spectrometer is a specially developed compact measuring instrument for science teaching. It is easy to use and, with the accompanying software, offers a wide range of possibilities for visualisation, measurement, comparison and evaluation. To measure optical spectra, the cuvettes included in the scope of delivery are simply inserted into the device. With the help of the supplied fibre-optic cuvette adapter, external light sources, for example, can also be measured. The respective light is spectrally decomposed via a permanently installed grating. The spectrum is recorded with the help of a CCD array, so that the complete spectrum is recorded in one go, which makes it possible to reliably record even rapid changes in a spectrum. The software, which is optimally adapted to the device, is available free of charge as a download (Windows) and in the app stores (iOS and Android). Power is supplied by four AA batteries (not included).
Advantages
Compact all-in-one device
Fast measurement of the full spectral range
No separate light source required
Fibre optic cuvette adapter allows flexible accommodation of external light sources
Measure emission and absorption spectra across the visible spectrum and into IR and UV regions
Free download of measurement software (Windows, iOS, Android)
