The moisture-resistant filter paper is made of refined pulp and linters; it contains approximately 95 % alpha cellulose. The smooth surface of this paper prevents the fibres from slipping. The paper is particularly strong when wet and can also be used for the filtration of highly alkaline or acidic solutions. Due to its high mechanical resistance in the wet state, this paper is particularly suitable for applications where the filter cake must be preserved.
